ABOUT

The Fantastic Four were a veteran soul vocal group from Detroit, MI that became famous during the late 1960s with an original lineup consisting of "Sweet" James Epps, brothers Ralph and Joseph Pruitt, and Wallace "Toby" Childs. Best known for such soul smashes as "The Whole World Is A Stage" (1967) and "You Gave Me Something (And Everything's Alright)" (1967), which made the R&B Top 10 and Top 20, respectively, the group later switched to disco in the 1970s. The Fantastic Four remained active through 2023, with many personnel changes along the way.
