The Five Blobs

The Five Blobs were a group of studio musicians formed by session leader Bernie Knee for the express purpose of recording the title song to the classic science fiction horror movie, "The Blob" (1958), starring Steve McQueen. Co-written by Burt Bacharach and Mack David, this song became a Top 40 hit in 1958 and, over the years, has been included in many Halloween-themed compilation albums.
