ABOUT
The Floaters were an R&B vocal group from Detroit, MI with a great deal of crossover appeal that became famous during the late 1970s. They are best known for the soulful and dreamy "Float On" (1977), which topped the R&B charts and reached #2 on the Pop/Rock charts. This smash, which features mostly spoken lyrics throughout, also topped the U.K. charts and became a Top 5 hit in Ireland.
