ABOUT
The Four Knights were a veteran vocal group from Charlotte, NC that became famous during the 1950s. Formed in 1943, the original lineup consisted of Gene Alford (lead tenor), Oscar Broadway (bass), Clarence Dixon (baritone), and John Wallace (tenor, guitar), with some personnel changes. Best known for "I Get So Lonely (When I Dream About You)" (1954, aka "Oh Baby Mine"), which went gold and became a million-seller, other big hits include "Oh, Happy Day" (1953) and "If I May" (1955).
