The Gallahads were a mid-1950s rockabilly group from New Jersey best known for their haunting hit cover of the Naomi Ford/Lee Hazlewood-penned "The Fool" (1956) Members included Vinnie Bell (July 28, 1932 - October 3, 2019), a highly sought-after session guitarist, instrument designer, and electronic effects pioneer famous for his signature "watery" guitar sound.
