Gene & Eunice were an R&B duo known as "The Sweethearts of Rhythm & Blues" consisting of Forest Gene Wilson and Eunice Levy (b. Eunice Hazel Russ) who became famous during the 1950s. Best known for the self-penned novelty smash, "Ko Ko Mo (I Love You So)" (1956), one of the most extensively covered rock & roll songs of that time, other hits include "This Is My Story" (1956) and "Poco-Loco" (1959).
