Georgia Gibbs (August 17, 1918 - December 9, 2006, b. Frieda Lipschitz) was a hugely popular and versatile pop singer with a jazz-influenced style who became famous during the 1950s, often covering R&B songs that crossed over into the Pop/Rock charts. Best known for the chart-topping "Kiss Of Fire" (1952) and "Dance With Me Henry (Wallflower)" (1955), other big hits include "Tweedle Dee" (1955) and "Sweet And Gentle" (1955).
