Virginia Nelson (November 22, 1924 - November 27, 1998, b. Virginia Marie Shoemaker), known professionally as Ginny Gibson, was a prolific New York-based singer whose many works included TV and radio commercial jingles and early versions of such oldies classics as "Mr. Sandman" and "If I Give My Heart To You." Best known for the Top 40 smash, "You Blew Me A Kiss" (1953), other hits include "Miracle Of Love" (1956). Gibson also recorded as Ginny Blue.
