Gloria DeHaven (July 23, 1925 - July 30, 2016) was an actress, singer, and contract star for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) who became famous as a recording artist during the early 1950s. She is best known for the romantic ballad, "Because Of You" (1951, with Guy Lombardo & His Royal Canadians). She began her long career in show business as a child with a bit part in the Charlie Chaplin movie classic, "Modern Times" (1936).
