Great White is a veteran hard rock band formed in Los Angeles with a number of personnel changes over the years that became famous during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Best known for the upbeat Top 5 smash, "Once Bitten Twice Shy" (1989), they also had another Top 40 hit with "The Angel Song" (1989). The band got its name from both the same-named shark and the former stage nickname of guitarist Mark Kendall.
