Henry Gross is a veteran singer-songwriter who began in 1969 as the original lead guitarist of Sha Na Na before going solo. Best known for the Top 10 smash, "Shannon" (1976), a ballad about the death of a pet dog, other big hits include "Springtime Mama" (1976), a Top 40 hit.
