ABOUT
The Hesitations are a veteran R&B vocal group with a great deal of crossover appeal that became famous during the late 1960s. Best known for their soaring, gospel-infused Top 40 rendition of "Born Free" (1968), the title theme to the 1966 movie starring Virginia McKenna and Bill Travers, other hits include their covers of "The Impossible Dream" (1968), "Climb Every Mountain" (1968), and "A Whiter Shade Of Pale" (1968). Originally led by George "King" Scott, The Hesitations disbanded after he was accidentally shot and killed in 1968. They regrouped in 2006 with new members and have been actively performing and recording to the present day.
