ABOUT
The Hoosier Hot Shots were a veteran novelty/comedy group with a zany, humorous delivery complete with goofy instruments and outlandish sound effects that became famous beginning in the early 1930s. The original lineup consisted of Frank Kettering (January 1, 1909 - June 9, 1973), Charles Otto "Gabe" Ward (November 26, 1904 - January 14, 1992), and brothers Ken (September 13, 1903 - September 17, 1987) and Paul "Hezzie" Trietsch (April 11, 1905 - April 20, 1980), with a number of personnel changes over the years. They were regulars on the popular "National Barn Dance" radio show and starred in over 20 movies, often alongside such then-top acts as Gene Autry and the Three Stooges. As recording artists, they are best known for such hit comedy routines as "Breezin' Along With The Breeze" (1937), "Red Hot Fannie" (1938), "The Man With The Whiskers" (1938), "Annabelle" (1939), "She Broke My Heart In Three Places" (1944), and "Someday (You'll Want Me To Want You)" (1946).
