Tracy Lauren Marrow (b. 1958), known professionally as Ice-T, is a Grammy-winning male rapper and actor who became famous beginning in the late 1980s. Best known for the edgy and groundbreaking "Colors" (1988), the title song to the 1988 movie about inner-city gang life in Los Angeles starring Sean Penn and Robert Duvall, other hits include "New Jack Hustler (Nino's Theme)" (1991), which is featured in the movie, "New Jack City" (1991), starring Wesley Snipes and Ice-T as Detective Scotty Appleton. Ice-T's many other movie and TV roles include Detective/Sergeant Odafin Tutuola in the long-running NBC police drama, "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit."
