Jerry Dean Smith is a Nashville-based session pianist who began recording solo in the late 1960s. His hits include the self-penned instrumental, "Truck Stop" (1969). He wrote and performed on The Dixiebelles' "(Down At) Papa Joe's." He also recorded as Papa Joe's Music Box.
