ABOUT
Jimmy Durante (February 10, 1893 - January 29, 1980) was a celebrated and beloved comedian, actor, singer, and pianist with a distinctive gravelly voice and signature prominent nose who became famous beginning in the early 20th century on vaudeville, later starring in many Broadway shows and movies as well as his own TV variety show (1954-1956). As a recording artist, he had several songs and comedic skits that became chart hits including "Inka Dinka Doo" (1934), his theme song from the movie, "Palooka."
