Jimmy Witherspoon (August 8, 1920 - September 18, 1997) was a highly acclaimed and veteran blues singer and bassist who became famous beginning in the late 1940s. He topped the R&B charts in 1949 with what would become his signature song, "Ain't Nobody's Business." He later made a splash on the Pop/Rock charts during the mid 1960s with "You're Next" (1965).
