Jody Watley is a Grammy-winning R&B singer, songwriter, and producer from Chicago that became famous beginning in the late 1980s. She began her career at age 14 as a dancer on TV's "Soul Train" and later served as lead singer for Shalamar. As a solo artist, her best known songs include "Looking For A Love" (1987) and "Real Love" (1989), which both topped the R&B charts and reached #2 on the Billboard Hot 100.
