Joe Henderson (April 24, 1937 - October 25, 1964) was a gospel-turned-R&B singer with smooth, deep vocals who became famous during the early 1960s. Best known for the catchy "Snap Your Fingers" (1962), an R&B Top 5 which made the Pop/Rock 10 and became his biggest crossover success, other hits include the shuffling "Big Love" (1962) and the uptempo "The Searching Is Over" (1962).
