"Big Joe" Turner (May 18, 1911 - November 24, 1985) was a highly acclaimed and influential blues/R&B singer who became famous during the 1950s for such hits as "Honey Hush" and "Shake, Rattle And Roll." He was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1987.
