Johnnie Johnston (December 1, 1915 - January 6, 1996) was a singer and actor with a distinctive baritone who became famous as a recording artist during the early and mid 1940s. Best known for his Top 5 sung rendition of "Laura" (1945), the haunting title theme to the movie starring Gene Tierney and Dana Andrews, other major hits include "Dearly Beloved" (1942), "(All Of A Sudden) My Heart Sings" (1945), "There Must Be A Way" (1945), and "One More Dream (And She's Mine)" (1946). Johnston co-starred in the films, "Priorities On Parade" (1942), "This Time For Keeps" (1947), and "Unchained" (1955), and also appeared in the classic movie musical, "Rock Around The Clock" (1956).
