Sir John Phillip William Dankworth, CBE (September 20, 1927 - February 6, 2010), known professionally as Johnny Dankworth, was a veteran English jazz and movie scores composer, bandleader, saxophonist, and clarinettist who became famous during the late 1950s. He is best known for the novelty hit, "Experiments With Mice" (1956), in which he pays tribute to Benny Goodman and other big band greats to the tune of "3 Blind Mice."
