John "Johnny" Dillard Lytle (October 13, 1932 - December 15, 1995) was a jazz drummer, vibraphonist, and songwriter who became famous during the mid 1960s. He is best known for the light and airy hit instrumental, "The Loop" (1966). Over his long career, he worked with such jazz greats as Louis Armstrong and Miles Davis.
