Angel is a pseudonym for William "Bill" Gilliland (ca. 1937 - May 17, 2025), a Canadian producer, record executive, and music entrepreneur who became famous under this moniker during the mid 1970s. He is best known in both the U.S. and Canada for his hit cover of the teenage tragedy song, "Tell Laura I Love Her" (1974), an oldies classic made famous by Ray Peterson.
