Kvitka "Kasey" Cisyk (April 4, 1953 - March 29, 1998) was a classically trained singer from New York born to Ukrainian parents who made her mark in four disparate genres: pop music, opera, Ukrainian folk music, and commercial jingles. As a pop musician, she is best known for the original version of "You Light Up My Life" (1977) which was part of the soundtrack to the 1977 movie of the same title and became a minor hit. This song soon after topped the charts for Debby Boone.
