Kay Thompson (November 9, 1909 - July 2, 1998) was an author, singer, vocal arranger, vocal coach, composer, musician, dancer, and actress. She created the Eloise children's books and had a hit in 1960 based on the title character. She co-starred in the 1957 musical comedy, "Funny Face."
