Ken Griffin (December 28, 1909 - March 11, 1956) was an organist and bandleader who became famous during the late 1940s. He is best known for his chart-topping hit cover of "You Can't Be True, Dear" (1948). Originally released as an instrumental, this song was re-released later that year with dubbed-in vocals by Jerry Wayne. Both versions became popular, with sales of over 3.5 million. Griffin also starred in the 1954-55 syndicated TV series, "67 Melody Lane."
