Kim Carnes (b. 1945) is a highly acclaimed and veteran singer and songwriter with signature powerful raspy vocals who began in the 1960s writing songs for other artists before becoming famous in the 1980s. She is best known for the soaring Grammy-winning chart-topper, "Bette Davis Eyes" (1981).
