ABOUT

The Larks were an R&B vocal group founded in the early 1950s in Los Angeles by lead singer Don Julian (April 7, 1937 - November 6, 1998). First known as The Meadowlarks, the group had many personnel changes over the years and later shortened their name to The Larks. By the early 1960s, The Larks had become a trio consisting of Julian, Charles Morrison, and Ted Walters. They are best known for the upbeat "The Jerk" (1964), a Top 10 hit on both the R&B and Pop/Rock charts .
