Laura Branigan (July 3, 1952 - August 26, 2004) was a highly acclaimed and veteran pop/rock singer, songwriter, and actress who became famous during the 1980s. She is best known for the hard-driving "Gloria" (1982), a Top 5 hit that went platinum, and she topped the Adult Contemporary chart in 1983 with "How Am I Supposed To Live Without You." Branigan's many acting credits included the 1984 movie, "Mugsy's Girl," in which she-co-starred with Ruth Gordon.
