ABOUT
Les Elgart (August 3, 1917 - July 29, 1995) was a highly acclaimed and veteran swing jazz bandleader and trumpeter who, along with his brother, Larry Elgart, became famous beginning in the 1940s. He is best known for "Main Title - Golden Arm" (1956), from "The Man With The Golden Arm" starring Frank Sinatra. With brother Larry, he recorded "Bandstand Boogie," the theme to Dick Clark's "American Bandstand."
