Liberace (May 16, 1919 - February 4, 1987, b. W?adziu Valentino Liberace) was a hugely popular and veteran virtuoso pianist, singer, and actor with a trademark flamboyant style who became famous beginning in the early 1950s. He had several Top 40 hits on the Pop charts from 1952-1954 that include his rendition of the Kurt Weill/Maxwell Anderson-penned pop standard, "September Song" (1952), from the Broadway musical, "Knickerbocker Holiday."
