Maceo & The Macks were a funk band led by saxophonist Maceo Parker that became famous during the early 1970s. The lineup included members of James Brown's backing band. Their best known songs include the funky "Parrty - Part I" (1973), an R&B Top 40 hit and their biggest Pop/Rock crossover success, which was written, produced, and arranged by James Brown.
