Martin Briley (b. 1949) is a veteran English singer-songwriter, guitarist, and keyboardist who became famous during the early 1980s. He is best known for "The Salt In My Tears" (1983), a Top 40 hit. Over his long career, he has composed for TV and movies, worked as a session musician, and written songs for such artists as diverse as Celine Dion, Michael Bolton, Kenny Loggins, Gregg Allman, and Peter Tork.
