Mary Ann Fisher (February 23, 1923 - March 12, 2004) was a veteran R&B/soul singer with powerful, gritty vocals who became famous during the early 1960s. From 1955 to 1958, she toured with Ray Charles and was his inspiration for the songs, "Mary Ann," "What Would I Do Without You," and "Leave My Woman Alone." As a solo artist, she is best known for the yearning romantic ballad, "I Can't Take It" (1961).
