Mel Blanc (May 30, 1908 - July 10, 1989) was a radio personality and voice actor who famously brought to life such iconic cartoon characters as Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and Porky Pig. He made a splash on the Pop charts during the late 1940s and early 1950s with such novelty hits as "Woody Woodpecker" (1948, with The Sportsmen) and "I Tawt I Taw A Puddy Tat" (1951).
