Michael Gore is a highly acclaimed film music composer, songwriter, and record producer who became famous during the early 1980s. His best known works include the music to "Fame" (1980), which won him two Academy Awards, and "Terms Of Endearment" (1983), the theme of which became a Pop/Rock hit for Gore in 1984. Co-written with Dean Pitchford, the soaring theme to "Fame" as performed by Irene Cara became a Top 5 hit in the U.S. and topped the charts in many countries worldwide. Michael Gore is the younger brother of Lesley Gore.
