Michael Holm (b. Lothar Walter) is a veteran German pop/Schlager music singer, songwriter, and producer who became famous beginning in the late 1960s in Germany where he had a big hit with his cover of The Sir Douglas Quintet's "Mendocino." He is best known in the U.S. for the catchy Christmas soft rocker, "When A Child Is Born" (1974).
