Mickey Lee Lane (February 2, 1941 - March 18, 2011, b. Sholom Mayer Schreiber) was a songwriter, arranger, and recording engineer who began in the 1950s working in the Brill Building with Neil Sedaka as a touring pianist and Bill Haley as a songwriter. As a recording artist, he is best known for the fun loving "Shaggy Dog" (1964), a Top 40 hit.
