James Ure (b. October 10, 1953), known professionally as Midge Ure, is a veteran Scottish musician, singer-songwriter, producer, and ex-frontman of the new wave band, Ultravox. As a solo artist, he is best known in the U.S. for the 1989 hit, "Dear God." His unusual stage name, Midge, is a phonetic reversal of Jim.
