Rita Abrams (b. August 30, 1943) is a songwriter, performer, and writer. While working as an elementary school teacher in Mill Valley, CA, she made a splash on the charts in 1970 with the Grammy-nominated "Mill Valley" (billed as Miss Abrams & The Strawberry Point School Third Grade Class). She won an Emmy in 1980 for the music to "I Want It All Now," a documentary about life in Marin County, CA which aired on NBC.
