Nappy Brown (October 12, 1929 - September 20, 2008, b. Napoleon Brown Goodson Culp) was an R&B/gospel singer with a trademark melismatic style who became famous during the mid 1950s. He had his greatest Pop/Rock crossover success with "Don't Be Angry" (1955), and other top hits on the R&B charts included "Pitter Patter" (1955) and "I Cried Like A Baby" (1958).
