Nellie Lutcher (October 15, 1912 - June 8, 2007) was an R&B and jazz singer and pianist with warm vocals and impeccable diction who became famous during the late 1940s and early 1950s. She is best known for the upbeat, boogie-woogie-styled "He's A Real Gone Guy" (1947), an R&B Top 5 hit which made the Pop Top 20 and became her biggest crossover success. Lutcher was cited as an influence by Nina Simone and others.
