ABOUT

Patti Austin is a Grammy-winning R&B/pop/jazz singer and songwriter who became famous beginning in the early 1980s. Her best known songs include the romantic ballad, "Baby, Come To Me" (1982), a duet with James Ingram which topped both the Adult Contemporary and Pop/Rock charts. A veteran performer, Austin made her debut at age 4 at the Apollo Theater. While in her teens, she worked as a session singer and recorded commercial jingles.
