Paul Lavalle (September 6, 1908 - June 24, 1997, b. Joseph Usifer) was a conductor, composer, arranger, clarinetist, and saxophonist with a long career in radio and TV who became famous as a recording artist during the mid 1940s. He is best known for his Top 40 hit instrumental cover of the waltzy pop standard, "Always" (1944).
