Wonga Philip "Phil" Harris (June 24, 1904 - August 11, 1995) was an actor, comedian, bandleader, musician, and a pioneer in radio situation comedy who became famous as a recording artist during the late 1940s and early 1950s. Best known for the funny and catchy "The Thing" (1950), which topped the charts, his long string of mostly novelty hits also includes "One-Zy Two-ZY" (1946, with Harris' daughter), "The Dark Town Poker Club" (1946), "Smoke, Smoke, Smoke (That Cigarette)" (1947, with The Sportsmen), and "Chattanoogie Shoe-Shine Boy" (1950).
