Ralph MacDonald (March 15, 1944 - December 18, 2011, b. Ralph Anthony MacDonald) was a highly acclaimed and veteran Trinbagonian-American percussionist, steelpan virtuoso, songwriter, musical arranger, and producer who became famous as a recording artist during the mid 1980s. He is best known for the soulful "In The Name Of Love" (1984, with Bill Withers), an R&B Top 20 hit and his biggest Pop/Rock crossover success. His numerous songwriting credits for other artists include the Grammy-winning "Where Is The Love" as made famous by Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway, "Just The Two Of Us" by Bill Withers and Grover Washington Jr., and "Mister Magic" by Grover Washington Jr.
