Ray Ellis (July 28, 1923 - October 27, 2008) was a bandleader, saxophonist, producer, and arranger/conductor for many top hits from the 1950s-1960s who became famous as a recording artist during the early 1960s. His best known songs include the instrumental hits, "Midnight Lace" (1960, title theme from the movie starring Doris Day) and "La Dolce Vita (The Sweet Life)" (1961, title theme from the movie starring Marcello Mastroianni).
