Richard Arnold "Groove" Holmes (May 2, 1931 - June 29, 1991) was a jazz organist who became famous during the mid 1960s. He is best known for his uptempo instrumental cover of the Erroll Garner-penned jazz standard, "Misty" (1966), an R&B Top 20 hit and Holmes' biggest Pop/Rock crossover success.
