Rod Bernard (August 12, 1940 - July 12, 2020) was a veteran and influential Louisiana-born rock & roll singer and guitarist who became famous during the late 1950s and helped pioneer the then-emerging "swamp pop" genre. His best known songs include "This Should Go On Forever" (1959), a Top 20 hit.
